In this Blog shows to everyone about our first project which contain "business problem, research, interview, observation, and finally our P.O.V related to our business problem. However, in my Individual blog i will be focusing on the parts that i have done while am with the group.

In this blog, to be more specific we have chosen “reusing the tools to different clients” which effect a serious health problem. Which will make the salon closed due to having a bad reputation and people unwilling to visit it again.

How we word as a team depend on MBTI

In our team, we have three type of MBTI.

First ESFP (Maitha Ali) people with this personality type are often the first to help someone talk out a challenging problem, happily providing emotional support and practical advice. ESFP personalities can bring everyone else along for the ride.

Second ESFJs (Khuloud); enjoy supporting their friends and loved ones, organizing social gatherings and doing their best to make sure everyone is happy.

Finally, the ESTJ (shamma, khawla, Samira) are representatives of tradition and order, utilizing their understanding of what is right, wrong and socially acceptable to bring families and communities together. ESTJs often take on roles as community organizers, working hard to bring everyone together.

Depend on those types, we all work as a team to do the project.Shamma, khawla, Samira primary job is to organizers, working hard to bring everyone together. Khloud's role is to Encourage, lift and strengthen the team. Spread a positive energy in the team. Maitha Ali's role is to spread the happiness and energy between us, make for us an atmosphere of fun and takes us away from the fatigue and stress environment.

How We worked as a team (6 Thinking hats)

While we were working together I realized that I love to research and looking for new information. Then I found out that I am a “white hat” its means that looking for facts, information and data. 

Khuloud is a “green hat”, she came up with the Business problem. Not only that, she also came up with what the customer would think about the problem. 

Samira is “yellow hat”, so we let her to do the interview part. She went to different people and interview them. 

Shamma is “blue hat”, we let her to observe the salon, she went to different salons and we let her to write notes of what happening in the salon in general observes with the costumer and the stuff.

Khawla is “red hat”, we found out from our teamwork that Khawla loves to come out the overall problems from each part “interview, observation and research” so we let her to do this part. Also we let her to tell us about what she found from each problem contains the feelings and emotions that people will feel. Also, she collected the opinion of each part of the project.

Research One:

According to Nails 1998-1999 Fact Book,1 US consumers spent an estimated $6.28 billion on nail services in 1997. Many consumers patronize discount and full-service nail salons with a belief that the instruments have been sanitized appropriately. Research two:

Clinical studies have documented an association between short-term exposure to ozone (ozone hair steamer) concentrations of 0.2–0.5 mg m−3 (0.4–1 ppm) and mild temporary eye and respiratory irritation and inflammatory response of the respiratory tract and lung. Formaldehyde has been classified as a potential carcinogen and can also cause sensory and respiratory irritation. We can found formaldehyde in nail polishes; nail hardeners, eyelash glues, hair gels, makeup, shampoos, and lotions.

Research three:

The customer and the stuff have a such a huge argument about the price that lead to hurt both of them. In a celebration time the stuff rise the price, the customer that called Miss.A was very angry that she called her husband to deal with the price. Her husband came and start to fight the stuff by using a knife. Eventually, this all lead to a problem with the police and have a bad reputation.

Research fifth:

As we know that salon has advantages and disadvantages specially salon for women. And also we know that some salons have verity of problems that may occur in the salons such as, there’re some Inspectors found a metal scraper with old skin on it and the pedicure tub was not being cleaned after each client which causes a lot of skins (Ahamd, 2013)infections such as Fungal infections. Re-using single use items such as cotton balls, files and pumice stones which make the salon cited for failing to clean and disinfect equipment. Also there’re A number of beauty salons across the capital are offering henna tattoos using dangerous black henna which causes scares on skin, despite repeated warnings and threats of closure.
